Parishioners and catechism students of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R C Church along with members of the Marian Council #3852 KofC and Columbiettes gathered at the church gazebo to light the church's Christmas Tree Thursday night. The tradition returns after a long hiatus due to covid then the rebuilding of the gazebo. All where invited to sing carols around the tree then gather in the church for cookies and hot chocolate after the event. Special thank you to Carolyn Lubansky for donating the tree.

The nativity scene has once again been placed at Silversmith’s Corner in Southold as the Marian Council #3852 KofC - Cutchogue, NY reminds our community to keep christ in christmas. The arrival of baby Jesus will be on Christmas Eve.

At the council’s monthly meeting on December 1st the Marian Council #3852 KofC received the Knights of Columbus Star Council award for the 2024 - 2025 Columbian year.

Star Awards recognize outstanding achievement in membership, insurance, programming, and overall operations. Earning a Star Award is the marker of a high preforming Knights of Columbus unit and the goal to which every council, district, and assembly should strive.

A special thank to Rene from Paz Painting of Cutchogue for doing an amazing refurbishment of the Mother Mary statue at Sacred Heart Cemetery at the memorial for the unborn. The statue once stood in front of the former Marian Council #3852 KofC - Cutchogue, NY hall.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3:00 pm, the musicians of our North Fork parishes will be performing a concert at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R C Church in Cutchogue. The concert will feature oboe, cello, guitar, organists and vocalists. The monies raised from a free will offering will be used for new tables and chairs for Our Lady of Ostrabrama's meeting room. See you tomorrow for the Columbiettes Basket Auction at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R C Church at 1pm.

The Columbiettes of the Marian Council #3852 KofC - Cutchogue, NY will be hosting their annual Basket Auction fundraiser on Sunday, October 26th from 1pm to 3pm in the lower level church hall at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R C Church 3300 Depot Lane in Cutchogue. Auction drawing starts at 3pm and light snacks will be served. Admission is free but raffle and auction tickets are extra. Monies raised will go to local charities.

Join the Marian Council #3852 KofC 2025 Golf Outing on Sunday, September 28th at Cedars Golf Club in Cutchogue, NY. Cost is $55 per golfer and course sponsorship available starting at $100. Donations will be used to help support our local parishes, North Fork Parish Outreach and those in need in our community. *Rain date: Sunday, October 5th.

The International Day of Charity is observed annually on September 5. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 to promote charitable activities and raise awareness about the importance of charity in alleviating poverty and suffering worldwide.

This date was chosen to honor the legacy of Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to helping the poor and vulnerable. She passed away on this date in 1997.

How to Get Involved

Volunteer: Participate in local charity events or volunteer your time to help organizations in your community.

Donate: Consider making a financial contribution to a charity of your choice, no matter how small.

Raise Awareness: Use social media to promote the importance of charity and share information about charitable organizations and their missions.
