Hi-Line Community Connectors 09/12/2019

Tonilee calls meeting to order at 12:05
Attendees included: Angela Black, Clem Hollingsworth, Stephanie Eney, Ashley Kimmet, Rachel Kipp, and Rob Laine.

Announcements:
1. Ashley talked about the Food Bank. They would like to get more people attending. The hours are 5:30 to 6:30 last Thursday of the month, she will be making flyers to be put up. Is also posted on Harvest Food Pantry page.
2. Cat / Griz food drive will be in November more info to come from Ashely.
3. September Wednesday 18th is NRMC Health Fair from 12:00 to 6:00.
4. Rachel announced this is National car seat week. Also you can get car seats from the Head start accommodating 12 to 45 pounds for free. Contact Rachel 873-4109.

Committees:
1. Rachel discussed getting groups back on track. Stephanie will be sending information to look at.
2. Clem brought up about doing a Forum, with different Professional perspectives.

New Business:
1. Clem will start his new group on October 8th. It will be every other Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 at GCHC Behavioral Health. It will be about How to Reset Your Childs Brain. Group is free to the public, will be out on DVD at the end, we are not sure if it will be live on Facebook at this time.
Old Business:
1. Nothing at this time.

Clem calls meeting to order at 12:05
Attendees included: JR Myers, Angela Black, Clem Hollingsworth, Stephanie Eney, Kim Winchell, Ashley Kimmet, Lester Johnson, and Velvet Augare

Announcements:
1. Ashley announced Adult Ed schedules should be coming out soon,
2. JR suggested info should be posted on FB page more. If you would like to send Tonilee information to post, she will get it on there.
3. Angela updated info on Book Club @ the Moose, Next meeting is 9/12.
4. Clem update on Change group, next meeting is 8/27. Hopes to shift topic to family dynamics in Nov.
5. Lester talked about support groups @ Presbyterian Church. Focusing on struggling and need to differentiate into multiple groups. 5 year initiative.

Committees:
1. Nothing at this time.

New Business:
1. Ashley – NRMC offering Heads Up program, Su***de prevention within next 3 months.
2. Kim suggested idea regarding peer counseling at school. She referenced PAL program. (peer, assisted, leadership)
3. Stephanie – NRMC offers Tele-psych out of Havre.
4. JR mentioned Tai Chi classes are moving to voting center next month and eventually to Michele Beebe’s yoga practice for $5.00 a session.
Old Business:
1. GCHC @ Famers Market
2. GCHC School Program
a. Has a new room.
b. Educational Groups.

Starting Wednesday 7/3/2019. Glacier Community Health Center will have a table at the Farmers Market in the Cut Bank City Park from 3:00 to 6:00. (Depending on Weather)

Toys For Tots
Opportunities, Inc will be doing a Toys for Tots distribution again this year on December 21st. To register you must be a Cut Bank resident, eligible for a low income program such as SNAP, TANF, WIC, MEDICAID, LIEAP, HEAD START etc. Please bring verification and proof of address during intake. Children MUST live in the household or the order will NOT be filled.
**Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Please call us at 873-0747 to inquire.
Registration must be completed and turned in by December 14th so we can make sure orders are filled and delivered by distribution day. To register please visit us at 505 East Main Street at the Cut Bank Community Resource Center.
