Young Visionaries with a dream of opening a "Youth Empowerment Square" designed to offer a home base for youth groups without one, encourage hands-on STEM-related activities and promote local youth to become the change they'd to see in their community. Amazing things happen when you give youth the tools to invision change, skills to be innovative with their solutions to problems they face, the kno
wledge to make it happen, and the belief that they have the ability to be the change they want to see in the world around them. Lego League teams for ages 6 - 14 years old in our community. For the last three years, youth involved with both groups have seen things they've wanted to change in our small town or thought would help whichever youth group have further positive impact on local kids. For the last two years, 5 specific youth that belong to both Scouts and FLL have insisted on having a voice and changing the landscape in our rural community for school aged kids. The last year has had me learning as much as I can to become the adult voice needed so their young voices are heard. If we haven't already met, my name is Nicole Anderson. The voice is mine, the dream is theirs, and the passion is shared. Welcome to Custer Tech Kids, the group determined to change rural communities into technological friendly environments that encourage youth to explore, discover, and become the innovative leaders tomorrow needs today.
