We would like to thank our C-CCC member, Jacob Peed, from Sumter EMC for taking the time to come to teach our Summer Literacy Campers about the importance of staying safe around electricity. The camper loved learning about Powertown!

Come support our C-CCC member, Sumter EMC, next Thursday, June 4th, as they present Powertown to our Summer Literacy Campers as well as anyone else who what to learn about electricity and how it works. Thank you to Sumter EMC for supporting our literacy programs in Chattahoochee County. The Neighborhood Community Center at 10:00 am. This is a free event, and we will have yummy snacks!

What an incredible night for Chattahoochee County. ❤️

Tonight’s Unity Park Celebration was truly something special. We will be posting many more photos and memories from the evening soon, but for now, here is the community group photo taken during the ribbon cutting ceremony. Seeing so many people from across our community come together on stage was a powerful moment we will never forget.

It was a night filled with laughter, music, memories, fellowship, and history in the making. From the Time Capsule Ceremony to the live music by Randy and Darlene Dameron and the incredible community fellowship, this evening reminded us all what makes Chattco so special.

A huge thank you to Walter and Ann Miller and their family for their generosity, vision, and love for this community. Their hearts and dedication made this beautiful park possible. We also hope everyone continues to support Shirley Jones and the incredible mission of Latavia's Closet, INC. and their future home here in our community.

Special thanks as well to Josh McCain and Cohen Pack for getting the group photo printed so quickly so it could officially be placed into the time capsule tonight, and to Samantha Hedgecoke for capturing this wonderful photo.

We also want to recognize the many people who helped with setup and breakdown for tonight’s event including Gino Ceravone, Cadence Rhoades, Cohen Pack, Abrielle Orsini, Lowen Griggs, Amanda Hollomon, Jaymee Kuhn, Patricia Weathers, Melissa Haymond, Michelle Box, Dale Box, Dominic Box and Conner Hershey. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to making this event possible.

There are so many people to thank that it’s impossible to list everyone here tonight, but we will continue recognizing those who helped make this event such a success in the upcoming photo posts from the celebration.

Tonight was more than an event. It was a memory that will live on for generations. 🇺🇸
