Our first annual Souper Bowl Cook-off was held to start off our Winter Party Saturday evening and it was a success! We had around a dozen entries and voting participants tasted any or all the soups they wanted before they voted for their favorite soup.

The winner of the Souper Bowl Cook-off Soup Master of the Year is Katie Hougland and her Chicken Parmesan soup. Katie won a percentage of the cash collected plus a trophy apron commemorating the win. Cathy Nicolaisen won 2nd place with her potato soup and she also won a percentage of the cash collected.

After the tasting and voting was over, we opened up having a bowl of soup to everyone else who did not participate in the voting for $5.

All the soups were great and it was fun to see all the voting participants milling around from soup to soup and then submitting their vote for favorite soup. We look forward to holding Souper Bowl Cook-off 2027 next year so it is never too early to start perfecting your soup.
