Bring your unwanted Denim (jeans, jackets, skirts, etc.) to Kimi and they will get repurposed into housing insulation.

Ready to recycle your JEANS, JEANS, JEANS for Earth Day???

Kimi Floyd (7th grader) will be collecting any unwanted denim that you'd like to recycle on Sat. April 24th at the Toledo Zoo's Earth Day Recycling event called "Party for the Planet". We attached a few pics from the denim drive last summer of Kimi and Erek. Even though Erek is still away at college, the opportunity to recycle your denim is now.

REMEMBER - Your donated denim gets recycled into Ultra Touch Denim Insulation and donated to rebuild communities.

It is SUPER EASY to recycle. No need to even leave your car.

Just drop off your recyclable goods – including other hard-to-recycle items– between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Zoo’s Anthony Wayne Trail parking lot. Admission/parking charges do not apply to this special recycling project.

Here is the Zoo's link to the other items you can drop off that day only. Things like: paint, tires, electronics, household goods, cell phones, etc. Take a LOOK!

Our drive yesterday was a success with over 200 pairs of jeans collected!!

It was very nice to see the community come out given the unique circumstances.

SURPRISE...Another Denim Recycling Drive opportunity in northwest Ohio! 👖👖👖

The spring shut-down unexpectedly changed my college and co-op calendar this year. I am in NW Ohio all summer. It's been 3 years, let's recycle some DENIM for charitable housing insulation!
