Known as "Living Remnants" of The Black Swamp on Lake Erie Shores with over 6,000 acres of diverse coastal wetlands and wildlife. The Great Lakes Indian Tribes were well acquainted with this wildlife sanctuary long before it became a lakeshore recreation community. Jerusalem Township is at the heart of Black Swamp along the Lake Erie shoreline, the last area settled in the state of Ohio and considered to be the Warbler & Walleye Capital of the World attracting Presidents, Artists, Authors and Photographers.
