Founded in 1969, ACS is the oldest cryonics organization in the world. Orginally named Bay Area Cryonics Society because at the time we thought that cryonics was going to take off. Based out of Cupertino, CA situated in the heart of Silicon Valley, ACS headquarters is located and managed by Chief Operating Officer Jim Yount. ACS has the Jack Frost plan whereby new members can join for the first 6 months for the cost of $28. We recommend funding suspensions through Whole Body life insurance through reputable insurance companies such as Met Life and TransAmerica. We are in the process of implementing the 'Eminent Emergency Fund' whereby no one would be denied suspension for lack of ability to afford necessary life extension services. Several advantages of contracting through ACS are that ACS is designed to be flexible. For instance a trust or real estate property can be designated for use toward a suspension/storage. ACS handles emergency cases 'last minute cases' and accepts neuros. ACS is all volunteer efforts and we encourage members to attend meetings and become involved in our efforts.
