When a family comes to the CAC, they are often scared, confused, and unsure of what comes next.

A child advocate changes that.

Our advocates walk alongside families through every step of the process, connecting them to resources, answering questions, and making sure no one ever feels alone in navigating the system.

Investigations don't have to be intimidating for children, and at the CAC, they aren't.
Law enforcement professionals and the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) work with a Forensic Interviewer on our team to gather the truth of what happened to the child. All of these professionals are specially trained to work with children and make it their goal to protect the child's wellbeing every step of the way.

With a CAC, everything changes.

When a child experiences abuse, they shouldn't have to navigate the road to healing alone or be passed from person to person trying to find help.

That's why the Child Advocacy Center of Forsyth County exists. This June, we are pulling back the curtain on how we work.

Welcome to our "How the CAC Works" series. We are glad you're here!

When a child experiences abuse, they shouldn't have to navigate the road to healing alone or be passed from person to person trying to find help.
