We had a great first day at camp! Thankfully, the rain held off until close to the end of the day, and we were able to enjoy all the fun activities we had planned.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, CATS, and campers for making Day 1 such a success. We loved seeing new friendships form, lots of smiles, and so much excitement throughout the day.

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings—more adventures, more memories, and more fun at camp!

Good morning, my favorite Camp Can Do families!

Camp is right around the corner, and I want to make sure everyone is aware of our Open House. This is a great opportunity for campers and their families to tour camp, meet their CATS, and get to know the adult volunteers who will be helping make camp an amazing experience.

Open House
June 20th, 1:00–3:00 PM
Cu***ng First United Methodist Church
770 Canton Hwy Cu***ng, GA 30040

Parents: If you have questions and your CATS or the adult volunteers are unable to answer them, please find April, Karrie, or Cassie, and we will be happy to help.

We will also be handing out camp shirts, patches, and car tags during Open House, so be sure to stop by and pick yours up.

If you're a volunteer, here is some important information you need to know:

Volunteer Training (Mandatory for CATS and Adult Volunteers)
June 20th, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Cu***ng First United Methodist Church
770 Canton Hwy Cu***ng, GA 30040

During this training, we will go over everything you need to know for camp, including expectations, schedules, procedures, and all the dos and don'ts. Attendance is required for both CATS and adult volunteers.

Please bring:
• A refillable water bottle
• A sack lunch

You may also want to bring or wear:
• Sunscreen
• A hat
• Bug spray

We are still looking for volunteers to help make Camp Can Do happen!

Even if you can only volunteer for a day or two, we would truly appreciate the help. Camp cannot happen without amazing volunteers stepping in to support the girls and help everything run smoothly.

I know volunteering for camp can sound like a lot of work, but honestly the CATS are the ones doing all the planning, leading, and hard work. As an adult volunteer, your main role is simply being there as support and helping supervise a group.

Volunteers will also receive a discount for each day they volunteer.

We need volunteers for Camp Can Do!

Without enough adult volunteers, we cannot run camp at full capacity. If you are able to help, please register as soon as possible. Every volunteer spot filled directly impacts the experience we are able to provide for our girls.

To volunteer, you must meet the following requirements:

• Completed background check through Girl Scouts
• Completed required training via GS Learn

As a thank you for your time and commitment, volunteers receive a daily discount on their child's camp fee for each day they serve.

I am extremely pleased that our camp preparations are progressing smoothly. Our team met yesterday and accomplished a significant amount of planning. Following their diligent efforts, they took a break outside to rehearse some songs in preparation for camp.
