Polo Women's Book Club

Polo Women's Book Club Polo Book Club meets the first Friday each month--except the summer months of June & July. In June and July we do poolside bookclub.

Our regular book club luncheons meet August-May 1st Friday @ Polo Clubhouse. 6300 Polo Club Dr. Polo Women's Club is now officially Polo Women’s Book club. We still meet at Polo Country Club at 11:00 a.m. on the first Friday--August--May. In the future we hope to continue hosting great speakers and events. We hope to see you and your friends for next month's book chat and luncheon. Message us for more information.

Book club Friday, September 4 at 11:00 at Polo Golf & Country Club We hope to see you there! Thank you to everyone who RSVPed to the email regarding the request on how lunch would be handled by the club. After much consideration the club has determined they will continue with the limited menu choices based on the menu featured in the previous post. Please remember to write your name, circle your selection and pay prior to leaving the building.

Menus will be provided and lunch service will continue as always with this limited lunch menu. I appreciate you being flexible while the club made decisions on what they felt would work best.

Enjoy photos from Columbus, GA where I took the Theo of Golden book tour a few weeks ago. I will miss due to being with my dad, but I know this will be a great discussion. I’ll try to add a video from the coffee shop below. It will give you more visual into the story!

Book club this Friday, August 7 @11 in the main restaurant area of Polo Golf & Country Club Please enter the doors on the FAR LEFT side of the building into the main restaurant dining room as the other side of the building will be holding a mahjong tournament.

Book to discuss is Circling the Sun, a great historical fiction set in the early 1900s based on an incredible and very interesting woman.

It was a fantastic American Revolutionary War author panel and book signing event with Poe & Company Bookstore with some incredible award-winning and Reese Book Club pick authors on Sunday, July 26. I hope you all had as much fun as I did!

Join us for our next book club on Friday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the main Polo dining room. The room is to your left as you walk into the club foyer and it is the largest room so invite friends to join and let’s fill the space with book club friends.

The August 7 book to discuss is Circling the Sun by Paula McLain and is set in Africa in the early 1920s and is a historical fiction based on the interesting life of a woman named Beryl Markham.

Two America 250 celebrations you won’t want to miss. First up Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 at the main Cu***ng library 585 Dahlonega St. the Forsyth History documentary: Forsyth Frontier a Foundation and Future created by a local high school student in honor of America 250.

Then Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 at Poe and Company Bookstore the America 250 Revolutionary author event. This event features living history displays, wine tasting, an author panel, book signings and more! Meet Dr. Greg Brooking, Kostya Kennedy, Claire Bellerjeau, Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie!
