Beloved Ladies, part of our mission of Life in Sweet Abandon Ministries is to equip and encourage married women and churches to engage and support single and single-again women in their congregations and communities. That is the purpose for the Life in Sweet Abandon's first annual women’s event, open to women from all walks of life and all ages, at the Chapel of First Baptist Roswell, or by Zoom, on Tuesday, August 27 at 6:30 pm. Please join us as we connect women from all walks and increase their awareness and compassion for single women.
Our guest speaker, Debbie Montgomery Presnell, is single-again, and will inspire you by sharing her personal experiences of how God has been faithful to her through unimaginable tragedies. She will equip you with Ten Steps to Living with Hope and in God’s Plan through her message titled "The Faithful Dance."
Debbie is an international speaker, retired college professor, and published author of five books and the new Bible Study “Believing”. She is the founder and president of Shine Camp and Conferences, Inc., whose mission is to use biblical principles to encourage women of all ages to embrace their identity in Christ, fulfill their purpose, impact the community, and shine!
We will meet in the chapel at First Baptist Roswell and on Zoom starting at 6:30 pm. The event is at no cost to you.

The Sweet Life is open tor the Summer starting this Tuesday night, April 25! We are launching a topical series so no homework. There will be a relevant and compelling new topic each session. This Tuesday night we will be discussing "The God Who Sees You”. Together we will deep dive into scripture about a woman whom we rarely discuss. She is typically criticized and looked down upon, but God did not see her with human eyes. He saw her like He sees you and me, and He blessed her. God's promises are true, so believe and embrace them.
There is no homework, so there is nothing to do but show up and enjoy! We will offer this session in person at First Baptist Roswell, on Zoom, and on Facebook Live. Can't waist to see you there! Link to register is in the comments below.

Start the new year right by watching episode 4 of season 3 tonight at 7 pm on YouTube or the new Chosen App. Rob and I watched it last night and we are on the edge of our seat to find out what happens next! I hope you will also listen to some of the miracle stories of God reaching lost souls through this TV series, The Chosen, that are shared on the livestream tonight. Hope you enjoy it!

Do you want to hear God speak to you? Reading the Bible teaches us about who God is, His character, His amazing love for us, and who we are because of what He did for us through Christ. Daily Bible reading will be a sweet time of fellowship with God and will fill your heart with hope. Even with a busy schedule, five pages and ten minutes daily are doable. That is all it takes to read the Bible cover to cover and allow God to speak to you through His Word.

Delighting in God's Truth is a group of likeminded believers reading the same extraordinary Bible each year. What makes the Chronological Life Application NLT Study Bible so extraordinary?

Chronological is like a story so that the events are in the order in which they happened. Life Application means it is brimming with relevant resources, and most verses have notes to help us apply the scriptures to our lives. We begin an exciting new study Isaiah: Striving Less and Trusting God More, by Melissa Spoelstra, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Join us in person at First Baptist Roswell or online via Zoom and Facebook live.

Isaiah's words will reveal that you can trust God more than your own human effort or the counterfeits the world suggests. You won't be striving harder, but instead trusting more deeply the Faithful One who is so worthy of our utter dependence.
Benefits:
• Learn to trust God for who He is and how He reveals Himself in Scripture.
• Grow in understanding of the Book of Isaiah and its prophecies.
• Grasp how Jesus fulfills the promises in the Book of Isaiah.
• Discover peace in God's commands, character, and comfort.
Isaiah is a 7-session study with two weeks between sessions. We typically meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

The Sweet Life starts at 7 pm, and attendees transition to lovely private rooms for small group discussion at 8 pm. Finally, the Small Group Leaders close in prayer and dismiss for the night around 8:30. January 10 will be an introduction to the study and each other, so there is no homework. Instead, enjoy getting acquainted with new friends on this journey through Isaiah.

Remind your single friends that you see them, hear them, and love them today!
It is the time of year when everyone posts their happy family photos on social media. It is all about the families. The kids. The grandchildren. The couples in love. We need a reminder of the many women without spouses and children.
When single, the holidays can intensify our feelings of loneliness and can steal our hope. The names of one or two women are coming to your mind right now. How about calling them to encourage and remind them they are not alone?
Many singles thrive and have lots of friends who are like family and love unconditionally. But there are just as many singles who suffer in silence. They don’t want to bring their aloneness to anyone’s attention. They want to stay home and disconnect, but not really.
They would be thrilled if someone called to chat or invited them for coffee. Not to make sure they made it through and survived the holidays. But someone interested in how they are doing and reminding them they are loved.
Do not feel sorry for her or pity her. Instead, see her as a peer and respect where she is in life. She is not where you are and is far more aware of that than you realize. So, your treating her as an equal is powerful. It will do her heart good. And God will bless you for it.
Remind your single friends that you see them, hear them, and love them today!
