What do you do when your child doesn’t want to go to church? Or starts asking hard questions about God? 🤍

In this week’s exclusive Wire Talk+ conversation, Karen and Emily answer listener questions about navigating faith conversations with kids, handling church pushback, and responding when your children begin wrestling with big questions.

🎉Moms, you made it through May. 🎉

If you’re like us, the transition from the school-year routine (whether your kids are in kindergarten or coming home from college) can almost give you whiplash!

It’s okay if the shift into summer feels a bit bumpy at first.

Acknowledge it, and then make a plan to help set yourself and your family up well for this new rhythm and routine.

Maybe it’s creating a simple system for how everyone can help around the house (because more people home = more mess 😂).

Maybe it’s sitting down with your college student to talk through expectations… yours AND theirs.

A little intentionality can go a long way!

Give yourself a game plan… and then give yourself grace if and when the plan changes!

You’ve got this, moms.

Summer changes the rhythm of our homes—but what if it could also be a season of spiritual growth? ☀️💛

We’re kicking off a brand-new summer series on Wire Talk! All month long, we’ll be talk about how to make the most of the opportunities this season brings.

In this week’s episode, Karen and Emily share simple, practical ways moms can grow spiritually alongside their kids. And here’s some freedom for the summer: you don’t have to become your child’s full-time entertainment director. 🤍

Summer doesn’t have to be packed with activities, elaborate plans, or constant fun to be meaningful. Some of the best growth happens in the ordinary moments—when families spend time together, create space for conversation, and learn to seek Jesus in everyday life.

No pressure to do it perfectly. Just small, intentional steps toward Jesus together as a family.

There’s something about this passage that brings a sigh of relief when it comes to teaching our kids about God.

It reminds us that the discipleship of our children happens in the everyday moments and takes some of the pressure off that we need the “perfect” teaching moment.

As we continually go to God ourselves, teaching our children becomes less about performance and more about the way we are living. This allows our kids to see faith lived out in real time!
Moms, the everyday moments matter more than you think. You’ve got this!

Hey moms! ☀️One fun thing we’ve loved to do with our kids at the start of summer is create a Summer Bucket List together!

It can include super simple things like popsicles at the park, movie nights, sprinkler days, or library trips or bigger things like vacations and special outings you might already have planned.

The best part is making it together and getting to check things off throughout the summer. 💛

It’s also SO helpful on those long days when you feel like:

“What are we even going to do today?” 😂

You’ve already done the work of thinking through activities, so you can simply pick something from the list and enjoy the moment.

What’s one thing your family would add to a Summer Bucket List?👇

Healing begins when we stop hiding. 🤍

In this week’s Wire Talk+ conversation, Karen and Emily share a personal family story that beautifully illustrates the importance of bringing our sin into the light and allowing Christ to redeem even the parts of our story we’d rather keep hidden. 💛

Shame tells us to hide.
Grace invites us into freedom.

If you need the reminder that redemption is possible, this conversation is for you.

New mercies every morning ☀️

Some days, motherhood feels beautiful & full of grace. Other days leave us replaying moments we wish we could redo.

And on those days, this prayer becomes so personal:

“God, thank you for new mercies every morning. Thank you that tomorrow is not defined by today. Thank you for giving me opportunities to show my kids new mercy, too.”

We don’t have to stay stuck in yesterday’s frustrations or failures. God meets us again and again with compassion, patience, and grace.

Tomorrow is a new day! His mercies are waiting there for you.

Share with a friend that might need a reminder of His new mercies. 💛
