FCEF is an opportunity for the community to partner with Forsyth County Schools to support innovative teaching and increased student achievement. Grants have been awarded to:

$10,000 Fall 2016: 5 Schools
$30,000 Fall 2017: 10 Schools
$100,000 Spring 2018: 13 Schools
$40,000 Fall 2018: 11 Schools
$60,000 Fall 2019: 19 Schools
$115,000 Fall 2021: 24 Schools/Programs
$167,000 Fall 2022: 36 Schools/

Programs
TOTAL IMPACT: $522,000 to 75,000+ Students

Mission: To foster innovation for increased student achievement by unifying resources, not ordinarily provided by the district’s operating budget

Today the FoCAL Center brought the excitement to Otwell Middle School surprising teacher Alex Duque with a FoCAL Grant to enhance their fine arts program with new sound equipment! 🎤🎶✨

Today was an exciting day at Lambert High as the FoCAL Center surprised teacher Ashley Young with a FoCAL Grant to launch a dynamic new pottery program! 🏺🎨✨

Students will have the opportunity to turn imagination into something tangible, building hands-on ceramic skills while exploring creativity in new and meaningful ways. Lambert High School is one of six FCS schools selected this year, recognizing bold and innovative ideas that elevate fine arts education across the district.

Today, the FoCAL Center was excited to surprise South Forsyth Middle with a FoCAL Grant supporting the incorporation of photography into their art program! 📸🎨✨

Through this project, students will have new opportunities to explore photography, creativity, and visual storytelling as part of their artistic experience. The FoCAL Center is proud to support programs that expand and enhance arts education for FCS students.

Grants in Action: A perfect morning for a Ribbon Cutting at Sawnee Elementary School!

Sawnee's Outdoor Learning Space was made possible by a grant from the Forsyth County Education Foundation and the talents of Russell Landscape. This space provides a beautiful technology-free outdoor area for teachers and students. We look forward to seeing the learning that can take place outside!

The Community Engagement and Lifelong Education department hosted this year's Duck Dive in partnership with its annual Partner Connect Breakfast. In addition to scooping up a winner, Forsyth County Schools celebrated community partners, Superintendent Young's Parent, Teacher, and Student strategic advisory councils, and CTAE Workforce Academy graduates.
