Unofficial CRC Architectural Control Committee The very first words when anyone first drives into CRC is unanimously... "WOW" how beautiful!

03/20/2024

Situated on over 700 acres of gently rolling heavily wooded terrain, Chattahoochee River Club (CRC) borders the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. With over 10 miles of mulched trails to explore, residents can either hike, walk or ride their horses and enjoy the nature that surrounds them.

Chattahoochee River Club took over three years to plan. Working with the Trust for Public Land to effect a land swap with the National Park Service, the developer with its designers put together a community hailed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Upper Chattahoochee River Keeper environmental group as a “landmark effort”.

As stated by the developer, “This is a place where you can enjoy the important things in life; an exciting community dedicated to preserving and protecting nature and all its wonders for you and your family to enjoy every single day. Woods, trees, lakes and streams surround homes of unparalleled substance and style; homes where nature is as much a part of the architectural design as it will be a part of your life.”

The natural muted colors of the surrounding forests of Chattahoochee River Club and the North Georgia area create a majestic natural beauty where historically for generations individuals and families have hiked the many trails in order to connect with nature and their emotional spirit. This connecting with nature and family over the generations brings great joy and connection internally among individuals and their families. It is this connection to nature that many people come to in their most stressful and darkest times of struggle to reconnect and reenergize to try to put all the pieces back together.

It is the spiritual impact of these naturally muted colors that the designers of CRC to intentionally preserve CRC as a place to live within a natural forest and be able to look out the window or take a walk down the street and take in the rejuvenation this undisturbed natural beauty brings. A key component in creating this natural environment is the natural muted colors of the forest and the integration of the natural muted colors of the homes within the forest together. This integration with the forest is evident as you walk along the historic Chattahoochee River or the many trails within CRC. On your walk in the forest in areas where there may be a house off in the distance through the woods or even closer how homes seemingly blend with these natural colors of the forest minimizing the visual impact consciously and subconsciously maintaining as much of this emotional spiritual rejuvenation as possible. A place where homes are not too dark or too bright in order to not distract from the pristine natural visual emotional experience. Refreshing! Right outside your door.

It is these and other truly timeless natural features the designers of CRC intentionally put into the ACC Guidelines to make CRC a one of kind naturally beautiful place of rejuvenation worth preserving.
