PWB Joy of Hope Foundation

PWB Joy of Hope Foundation On the morning of January 24, 2020, everything changed for our family. This is also the day that the PWB Joy of Hope Foundation was formed.

Together with the North GA Community Foundation, the PWB Joy of Hope Foundation seeks to inspire hope and promote joy throughout Forsyth County and North GA communities as we wish to keep our son's light shining bright within our community. This is the morning that our 23 month old son, Parker Wade Burch, was called home unexpectedly to be with his Heavenly Father. Together with the North Georgia

Community Foundation, the PWB Joy of Hope Foundation seeks to inspire hope and promote joy throughout Forsyth County and North Georgia communities. Parker Wade Burch could light up any room. His heart was pure gold, and our wish is to keep our son's light shining bright within our community through spreading joy and hope. Together, we want to make an impact in our local community. Our foundation works with many charities local to North Georgia and Forsyth County, supporting men, women, children, families, and veterans. Your friends and neighbors. Our goal is to inspire joy, hope, and support throughout our community. With your help, we can provide many types of support: food and household items, monetary support, and volunteering time. If interested in learning more about the Foundation or learning how to become more involved in community initiatives, please visit www.pwbjoyofhope.com or like us on our PWB Joy of Hope Foundation Facebook and Instagram pages.

Between yesterday and today, PWB Joy of Hope Foundation had the privilege of serving 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Easter Lunches to those that need a little extra love 💘 this season at The Place, Family Promise of Forsyth County, Inc, The Place Cottage, The Place Homebound Seniors and the Mobile Food Pantry clients at Highland Manor Senior Living Center. Being able to spread Joy and Hope to those in our community warms our heart and brings a smile 😃 to our face.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing friends and family for helping in this huge endeavor.

Also, a very special thank you to Forsyth County Schools Project Life students who joined us and helped as food runners for the day! You were an amazing help and we love that this has become a yearly tradition. ❤

Thank you to Cassie Illg at Cassie Cakes, for the very generous donation of the Easter cupcakes! They were the perfect addition to the meal! 🐣🐰🌷☦️🍽️❤️

On February 13th, we celebrated Parker’s Heavenly 8th Birthday! 🎂✨

In honor of Parker’s special day, we donated 200 birthday cake pan kits to The Place— giving the gift of joy and hope to families who face the daily struggle of putting food on the table, let alone celebrating their little one with a birthday cake.

May Parker’s light continue to shine bright and touch the lives of others, today and always.

💙🌟Five-Year Impact Report 🌟💙

Spreading Joy and Hope. Strengthening Community. Changing Lives.

Over the past five years, PWB Joy of Hope Foundation has been privileged to serve our community with compassion, purpose, and action. What began as a way to honor our sweet Parker has grown into a sustained effort to meet real needs, uplift vulnerable populations, and create meaningful, lasting impact within our community.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, partners, and volunteers, we have been able to reinvest every dollar raised directly back into our community and extend hope to thousands of individuals and families.

💙 By the Numbers (5-Year Impact)

🌟$282,274+ raised and reinvested into the community

🌟800+ new clothing items donated to the CHOA Aflac Pediatric Cancer Center
🌟347 summer BBQ meals prepared and served in partnership with Family Promise of Forsyth County and The Place.

💙 Supporting Children & Youth

👚Organized back-to-school shopping experiences for girls living in local residential homes, ensuring they began the school year with confidence and dignity
🎄Annually adopted a local residential home for girls removed from their homes due to neglect and/or abuse, providing support throughout the year

💙 Empowering Young Women

👚🎄For the past three years, we have partnered with The Place Cottage, a local residential home for young women who have aged out of foster care and are experiencing homelessness. Through this partnership, we have supported pathways to education, stability, and self-sufficiency for young women determined to build brighter futures.

💙 Healthcare & Family Support

🎗️Restocked the clothing closet at the CHOA Aflac Pediatric Cancer Center to meet the needs of patients and families.
🎗️Stocked the food pantry on the CHOA Pediatric Oncology Floor with easy grab-and-go snacks for parents supporting children through ongoing treatments.

💙 Honors & Recognition

🏆Best Non-Profit Nominee, Best of Forsyth (past 4 years)
🥇Best of Georgia – Foundation Category Winner (4 consecutive years)
🏆2023 Best of Cu***ng Charity

💙 Community Partnerships & Outreach

🤝Strong partnerships allow us to extend our mission beyond direct service and inspire others to give back. In 2021, the Georgia Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) selected PWB Joy of Hope Foundation as its Philanthropy Partner for the Spring Institute held at Callaway Gardens.

During the event, our leadership shared the Foundation’s mission and vision, encouraging attendees to live a life rooted in generosity and paying it forward. HFMA participants also assembled 100 school supply bags, which were donated to several of our partner charities—directly supporting children and families in need.

🤝Education and inspiration are essential to building a stronger, more compassionate future. In 2022, PWB Joy of Hope Foundation had the opportunity to speak with high school students at King’s Ridge Christian School in support of their upcoming food drive benefiting The Place.

During this visit, students were introduced to the Foundation’s mission and encouraged to reflect on perspective, personal responsibility, and the power of showing grace. Our message emphasized that everyone has a story—and that meaningful impact can begin with just one person choosing to help.

This engagement marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership rooted in service, generosity, and a shared commitment to caring for the community.

🤝In 2023, PWB Joy of Hope Foundation was honored to partner with Jersey Mike’s Subs – Coal Mountain during its grand opening celebration.

Through this community fundraiser, supporters were invited to donate to the Foundation in exchange for a complimentary sub, generating both financial support and increased awareness for our work. This partnership reflects the power of local businesses and community members coming together to make a meaningful difference. Donations from this event were donated to CHOA in honor of Kaylee Stephens.

💙 Looking Ahead

Our work is far from finished. As we move forward, we remain committed to expanding our reach, deepening our partnerships, and continuing to serve with integrity, transparency, and heart. Every life touched reinforces why this mission matters — and why the next five years hold even greater promise.

Together, we are building Joy and Hope — one act of kindness at a time. 💙

🎄 Happy Giving Tuesday! 🎄

Today is all about creating positive change — and at PWB, we believe every single day is a chance to spread hope, kindness, and joy. With that spirit, we’re so excited to share our PWB Angel Tree for this holiday season! ✨
