10/13/26 @ 21:10 Miller Grove was toned to an unattended brush pile.

10/14/26 @ 10:47 Miller Grove was toned to the same address for another small brush pile actively burning. Our volunteers extinguished the fire while educating the home owner that Hopkins County is still under a burn ban and awaited the Hopkins County Fire Marshall to arrive.

Our volunteers responded to a fire call this morning. Please remember that Hopkins County is under a barn ban. Despite some counties around us lifting theirs, all outdoor burning is strictly prohibited. Of course, we will share once it has been lifted. Please tell your friends, tell your neighbors. And if you see somebody burning, call it in. If you are ever unsure if there’s a burn ban in place, check out www.texasburnbans.net

9/10/26 - 15:38 Miller Grove VFD received a mutual aide request from Hunt County for a grass fire. Squad 13 was the second apparatus on scene and quickly began extinguishing the fire. Booster 13 was 3rd on scene and was able to continue fighting the fire as Squad 13 depleted its 250gallons of water. This past Monday Miller Grove was toned out to a wild grass fire. Miller Grove arrived first on scene and started aggressively putting out the fire. Mutual Aid showed up from Hopkins county station 20 using their engine and their attack brush truck. . Engine 20 maintained control of safety for the home and shop. Miller Grove along with station 20's brush truck kept fighting the spreading fire. Mutual aid from Arbala came in along with Mutual aid from Lone Oaks brush truck. Cumby sent an engine to help with water support along with Lone Oak sending a tanker for water support. Approximately 8 to 9 acres were burned. Miller Grove was successful on knocking the fire down before it spread anymore. Thank you to ALL stations that came in and aided us. The fire was stopped before TFS was needed thankfully. Every Miller Grove apparatus was used on this fire. Thankfully to the quick response this did not get out of hand and no structures were lost.

MGVFD is thankful for this generous donation. This will help us serve this community more effectively.
