As a part of Scouting America, Scouts BSA is a youth development program for boys and girls ages 11 to 17. It offers a variety of outdoor adventures and skill-building activities that help young people develop into the next generation of leaders. Through a wide range of experiences, Scouts BSA, and personal growth. The self-paced, youth-led curriculum helps young people achieve their best. From camping to hiking to community service and merit badge achievements, Scouts BSA produces self-reliant, community-minded leaders. It provides a supportive environment where young people learn to take initiative, set goals, and work as a team to achieve them. As Scouts BSA offers troops for boys and troops for girls, there’s a unit type to fit your needs! Visit https://www.troop12cumberlandri.org/ to review our website to find out more about Troop 12.

⚠️ Weekend Camp Closure Notice
Due to the impending storms forecasted for this weekend, particularly the anticipated high winds, we have made the difficult decision to close all camps for the weekend out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of our Scouting community.

The safety and well-being of our Scouts, volunteers, and families will always remain our top priority. While we understand this may be disappointing, we believe this is the most responsible course of action given the expected weather conditions.

If you had a camping reservation scheduled for this weekend, emails have been sent to registered participants with information regarding available options to:
• Move your reservation to a future date
• Receive a refund, if applicable
Please respond to the email you received to discuss your reservation and make any necessary changes.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued commitment to providing safe and memorable outdoor experiences for our Scouts. We appreciate your support and hope everyone stays safe throughout the storm.
