What an incredible first week at Club 180 After School! Our theme this week centered around belonging, being uniquely created by God, and learning that we are better together.
On Monday, the older kids raced through multiplication facts with Math Basketball while our younger kids worked on homework. We talked about the similarities and differences between us and learned from Romans 12:5 and 1 Corinthians 12:14-21 that although we are each unique, we need eachother.
On Tuesday, we got moving with a reading and spelling version of Red Light, Green Light, then worked together to create individual puzzle pieces that became one big puzzle.
On Wednesday, the kids practiced writing their names in print and cursive and worked together in teams to build the tallest tower they could using limited supplies. Our devotion came from Psalm 139:13–14 as we talked about how God created each of us intentionally and with purpose.
On Thursday, we wrapped up the week by talking about how we are better together and introduced the kids to our Christmas play! We are so excited to begin working on it together!
It was a wonderful first week of learning, creating, building relationships, and reminding these kids that they are known, created with purpose, and they belong.
Please continue to pray for Club 180 Ministry as our Staff pours into these kids each week! If you or your church feels led to support us in this effort, you can give directly to our website or gift cards to Walmart or Food City would be a tremendous help in feeding the kids each evening. The cost per week runs about $500-600. Thank you for your support and prayer.
