Staten Island Community Services (SICS) was founded in 1946. It services the community through facilities and programs for senior citizens and pre-school children. There are four senior friendship clubs in locations across Staten Island. The first senior club on Staten Island was established at our Great Kills facility in 1974, so we are celebrating our 45th Anniversary this year. The South Shore Toddler Academy, also housed in Great Kills, offers two school programs providing classrooms for both the Pre-K and new 3-K program, offered by the NYC Board of Ed. SICS also provides a ball field that is used by the Great Kills Little League.
