CTF congratulates Northern High School senior Kiley Rubio, recipient of the 2026 Alexi Don Fratz-Orr Memorial Nursing Scholarship.

Established in memory of Alexi Don Fratz-Orr, this scholarship provides support to graduating seniors from Allegany, Garrett, and Mineral Counties pursuing a nursing degree at a local college or university. Alexi’s life and the compassionate care she received inspired her family to create a lasting legacy that helps future nurses achieve their educational goals.

Kiley was selected for her commitment to pursuing a career in nursing and continuing the spirit of compassion, dedication, and service that this scholarship was created to honor.

The Community Trust Foundation is proud to recognize Kiley’s accomplishments and wishes her continued success in her future endeavors!

CTF congratulates Northern High School seniors who have been awarded the following CTF scholarships.

Congratulations also to Demi Ross, recipient of the NHS Athlete Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes a deserving Northern High student-athlete who has demonstrated dedication in athletics, academics, attendance, and plans to continue their education or vocational training after graduation.

Congratulations to Lydia Secrist, recipient of the George B. & Lenore Morgan Humberson Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a Northern Garrett High School senior planning to pursue post-secondary education at Frostburg State University.

CTF congratulates Bishop Walsh High School senior Jayla Jackson, recipient of the Karl V. Kahl & Haseleah Kahl Scholarship.

Established in honor of Karl and Haseleah Kahl, this scholarship recognizes students who have overcome physical, financial, or learning challenges while demonstrating perseverance, determination, and a commitment to education.

Despite struggling with dyslexia, Karl persevered to become a successful civil engineer and lifelong advocate for education and opportunity. Jayla exemplifies the resilience and strong work ethic this scholarship was created to honor.
