ATTENTION WIC PARTICIPANTS:
Join us for the last Pop Up Farmers Market on September 28, 2026 in the Allegany County Health Department's parking lot from 12:00PM - 3:30PM.

Don't let your Farmers Market benefits go to waste. Stop by and get some fresh, locally grown produce.

Time is running out, come spend them today.

Did you know that you can also spend your monthly eWIC fruit and vegetable benefits at the farmers market? Stock up on your favorite fruits and vegetables. Ask the farmers (the experts) about how to freeze your produce, or for recipes and ways to prepare the produce.

Hope to see you on Monday!

Did you know? 🤔Water is one of the most important nutrients for your body! 💧

Water makes up about 60% of the body and is needed for every single organ to function properly. Water also helps prevent dehydration and regulates your body temperature, which is so important during the hot summer months! ☀️Staying hydrated is especially important for little ones and those who are breastfeeding!

Breastfeeding can be overwhelming and physically demanding for a new mom, so it’s important to have her back! 💗Dads and partners play a huge role in breastfeeding success. And WIC is here to help you do so! Here are some tips to help support your breastfeeding partner:

🧹Lighten the chore load for your partner! Mom needs to focus on resting, healing, and nursing.
🥛Anticipate mom’s needs during feeding, like cleaning bottles and breast pumps and bringing her snacks and water!
👶Share baby duties! Make sure to handle non-feeding tasks like diapering and burping while mom rests.
