🦁 Zone 5 Lions: Turning Fundraising Into Service!

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Lions from Mentone, Akron, and Culver gathered at the home of the Mentone Lions Club for the District 25-G Zone 5 Meeting, chaired by Lion Faith Kamp of the Akron Lions Club.

Culver Lions Club was represented by Jill Neidlinger, Eddi Langenberg, and Lynn Crist. Rochester Lions were unable to attend because Tuesday evening is their regular club meeting.

Guest speaker PDG Tom Polk encouraged us to always connect our fundraisers to the service and positive impact they make possible.

The Culver Lions Club's semiannual White Cane fundraiser is a perfect example, raising funds to support vision screenings, eyeglasses, equipment, and other vision needs. 👓

We ended the evening with service in action by washing and drying donated eyeglasses that will have their prescriptions read and be prepared for distribution in Mexico to people in need.

It was a wonderful reminder of what Lions are all about: We Serve. 💙💛🦁
