📣Culver Public Library is seeking new board members for the Friends of the Library Board. Friends is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the library through volunteering, advocacy, public awareness and financial support.

Serving on the Board is a great way to support your local library and community.

The Board has supported the library children’s fund for programming, book clubs, established a Friend’s scholarship, and boosted local literacy efforts. Opportunities are endless!

If you are interested, please reach out to Joe Fox, Library Director.

The next meeting is Monday Nov 25 @ 1pm in the lower level of the library.

All November long, Culver-Union Township Public Library will be accepting non-perishable food items for fees in a Food for Fines program. Every item takes off $1 worth of overdue fines, with up to $20 to be taken off in total per card. This is only good for materials owned by, and borrowed from, the Culver-Union Township Public Library by a CUTPL resident or reciprocal borrower. Fees for lost or damaged materials will NOT be affected. Be sure to spread the word!

Reminder that tomorrow, 10/3, we are having kittens from the Marshall County Humane Society, Indiana at the library. We have lots of activities planned as well so be sure to stop in and say hello as well as enjoy some snacks and make some crafts!

Heritage of Native Americans in Maxinkuckee.

This Saturday July 13th at 10:30 AM

Blake Norton, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer and Director of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center, and will join us from Shawnee, Oklahoma, via Zoom to talk about aspects of the heritage of the Native Americans who lived here at Maxinkuckee.

The program is free and open to the public.
