Reposted from Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) with gratitude

The Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) is proud to announce our theme for :

“From Quotas to Communities: Filipino American Migration AND Movement.”

As we commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the 1935 Philippine Repatriation Act and the 60th Anniversary of the 1965 Immigration and Naturalization Act, we reflect on the laws that sought to limit our presence yet also shaped our journeys of resilience, solidarity, and community building.

From exclusionary quotas to thriving communities, Filipino Americans continue to transform the meaning of migration by turning movement into memory, struggle into strength, and history into a living legacy.
