“Journey of The Blind Dance Co. In Quarantine” Pt.2 Ronald Chism

Today we sit in on Ronnie’s journey in quarantine so far. Ronnie has been with the Blind Dance Co. since the very beginning and is a well versed dancer and performer. His main style is hip hop which fits into his work as a rapper and performer. As a creative Ronnie aims to influence and inspire the masses through his work as a writer, rapper, actor and dancer. He’s a joy to watch in live performance and is truly dedicated to his passion. In addition to this he is a father, hard worker and a true family man who spreads joy to many in the community and always finding new ways to get involved.

Today Barbara Harrison sits down and shares her experience in quarantine so far. She explains a few of the struggles as well as some of the new passions she’s discovered along the way. Barbara has been with The Blind Dance Company for two years now and is a great dancer. She’s looking forward to being able to dance in person again with the troupe in the future, but for now the virtual lessons continue.

Family & Friends it is Giving Tuesday! This is a global generosity movement geared at empowering organizations giving back to the community 365 days a year! In light of the holiday during these unprecedented times The Blind Dance Company is grateful to still be offering weekly virtual services to the Blind community at no cost, continuing to uplift spirits and create opportunities for the underserved visually impaired community. Any donation is a valued donation. Your contribution goes towards the COVID-19 BDC Care Package fund, providing members with items they need to help get them through these times. In addition the BDC is gearing up for its annual “Arts In the Dark” (Blind Artist Talent Showcase) highlighting extreme talent within the blind community! We are planning a virtual showcase this year, giving you the audience the chance to vote and granting the lucky winner with cash & prizes. Last years winner won over the crowd with her phenomenal vocals, winning $500 in Cash & Prizes! Your support allows us to continue highlighting talent in the community while creating unique opportunities for the visually impaired that allow them advancements otherwise not available.
