Each Memorial Day, thousands of Scouts and volunteers participate in what has been dubbed "the largest Scouting event West of the Mississippi," placing more than 90,000 flags at the Los Angeles National Cemetery. Flag placement is a staple community service project for Scouting America units, often in partnership with local American Legion or VFW posts, a 70-year old tradition. Join WLACC as we honor our fallen military on Saturday, May 23rd by registering your unit for this special day.

Fellow Scouters!

For the first time in its history, the Western Los Angeles County Council is offering a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor Training!

It will be held online from around 6-10pm on Friday, May 1, and then from 8am-8pm at the Culver City Scout House on Saturday, May 2. Cost is $35, covering materials and food.

This is a great opportunity to explore Leave No Trace in greater depth and be equipped to encourage others to support good outdoor ethics.

We must have at least four (4) participants, but cannot have more than twelve (12). Participants must be 18 or over. Please sign up today so you don't miss out!
