Next Cultural Event: announce from the Doshinokai Foundation - "The Japanese Sword, Katana
Hi Everyone,
How are you? I hope this email finds you and your family well.
We’d like to announce our next cultural event, "Invitation to the Japanese Sword, Katana" introduced by Mr. Michael Yamasaki (See attached)! This event will take place on Sunday, September 28 from 11 A.M to 1 P.M (PST). It will be in person (Seishin-juku Dojo in Culver City; 10816 Washington Blvd, Culver City) and on Zoom.
Please participate in this unusual event in-person or zoom! (We will let you know the Zoom link for the event soon)
Please mark your calendar and join us!!
We were so fortunate to be able to find Mr. Michael Yamasaki, this master of the history of the Japanese sword, "Katana". We will be able to see the real Japanese sword and learn about its background. Also since he is a Budo (Kenjutsu/Batto/Karate..) master, you may see how to cut and move with Katana! We will learn about the old Japanese sword, the cultural aspect of this art and its hidden secrets!
Please let us know who is interested in joining the in person class in Culver City. Everyone is Welcome!
*Looking toward the future, we, Doshinokai Foundation, would like to continuously introduce masters and more cultural arts but need your help to do so. Without your kind, generous and continued support our mission would not be possible. We are suggesting a $25 donation (under my signature there is a donation link) but any amount you wish to give will be humbly and gratefully accepted. All proceeds will benefit the foundation and those who follow us by helping to present future cultural events such as this one. Thank you!
Best regards,
Haruo Matsuoka
