Among the many that are said to be still lingering at Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, one includes the story of Lilly. Like the asylum itself, her history is blurred by shadows and whispers. As believed, the little girl was born inside the facility sometime in the mid-to-late 1800s. Her mother, a patient, was abandoned to the institution while pregnant and later passed during childbirth. The nurses in the ward immediately took to the little girl, giving her the name. Lilly spent her brief life wandering the halls, where some say she died of pneumonia, others of neglect. Today, many believe that a childlike spirit still roams throughout the room where she resided during her time at the institution, many years ago. Guests and tourists continue to leave behind toys and items in her memory. Below is a photo I had taken inside her room/ward.

A few photos that I had taken of Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum after our investigation a couple of nights ago. No filter or editing. The sky was perfect. Pictures don’t do it justice. Simply incredible.

Back home from a fantastic, almost 10-hour overnight investigation at the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. From hearing footsteps, unexplainable sounds, a few solid EVPs, and learning so much more of the history than I knew before…it’s a location that I absolutely plan to return to. Here is a collection of photos taken between all ward floors, hallways, the lobotomy, and more. I also have daytime and night shots of the outside, but will share those in a separate post following. Packed up and in route to Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for an overnighter. Beautiful day for the drive over. Although missing the crew back home, I’m so excited for this location. Will share trip updates throughout. See you soon, Middletown Paranormal and Southern Fauquier Paranormal.

Had a great weekend in Spring City, PA for Pennhurst Paracon. My interest in this location continues to grow each year that I visit. The history is so profound. Spent lots of time exploring the buildings, catching up with other teams in and around the state, and had nice weather to top it off. Always well worth the trip.

On behalf of our team, we are beyond sad to learn of the loss of our longtime friend, Max Lacy. Over the years, Max provided us many open opportunities and was always so supportive of us, among others. He was very involved in his community and always ready to lend a helping hand to all, whenever needed. We will so miss our conversations with him. Our high appreciation for his friendship will continue on.

Had the opportunity to visit Natural Bridge State Park this past week, and within that, Saltpeter Cave. During the war of 1812 and the Civil War, soil was mined for potassium nitrate, a key component of gunpowder during this time. The cave is historically significant, and its resources were even leased by Thomas Jefferson. A park ranger shared that the site has been no stranger to supernatural and paranormal activity. Hikers over time have reported the same apparition description of a soldier who is said to still roam the old cave.
