A reminder that on Friday, October 23rd from 5-9pm, during our annual “Spirits of the Graffiti House” event, you may enter our raffle to win a private investigation with our team. Must be 18 years or older to enter. All proceeds will go to the Brandy Station Foundation. Mark your calendars and come see us.

Spirits of the Graffiti House is a free, family-friendly evening. We will be setting up with all things paranormal and guests may tour the location anytime between the above hours.

That’s a wrap for the Haunted Hustle 5k and Spooky Sprint by Culpeper Renaissance. Despite the rain this morning, it was yet another great turnout for all. Super excited to have been one of this year’s sponsors as well. I’m continuously grateful for new opportunities.

Starting off October with all things spooky tonight. Attended the “Salubria After Dark” ghost tour in Stevensburg. Such a cool place with lots of history, passed down stories, and legends. The Stanley Hotel:

Located in Estes Park, Colorado, and opened in 1909, the Stanley Hotel is widely named one of the most haunted in America. The 41-acre property consists of 11 historic structures. This includes the main hotel, the concert hall, the carriage house, and The Lodge (originally called The Manor House). All built by inventor, Freelan Oscar Stanley, the building was one of the first fully powered hotels in the world to have a hydroelectric plant and water systems to provide electricity. Stanley made a fortune alongside his twin brother over the course of many years. In 1941, Stanley died at the age of 91 due to heart failure/complications. Today, many believe Stanley among others, still roam the halls and corridors of the hotel. Guests, visitors, and staff report sounds of the piano played, disembodied voices, items being moved without explanation, and lights being turned on and off. The hotel and its surrounding structures have become a popular tourist location, a hot spot for supernatural activity, and paranormal investigators. It’s history has and will remain one of the country’s most iconic historic districts. Want to know more? Follow the link below!

As fall is quickly approaching and spooky season is near.…I am excited to share that we will once again be returning to the Graffiti House for our annual spirit night. Mark your calendars and join us for all things paranormal on Friday, October 23rd, from 5pm-9pm. We will be hosting a raffle for a chance to win a private investigation at Graffiti House with our team at a later date. (Must be 18 years or older to enter raffle.) Spirit Night is a free, family-friendly event. Come and go as you like. You may walk through and tour the house and hear of its history. Our team will have some of our equipment on hand and will be there to chat about our stories and experiences. We’d love to hear yours. So looking forward to seeing everyone.

Among the many that are said to be still lingering at Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, one includes the story of Lilly. Like the asylum itself, her history is blurred by shadows and whispers. As believed, the little girl was born inside the facility sometime in the mid-to-late 1800s. Her mother, a patient, was abandoned to the institution while pregnant and later passed during childbirth. The nurses in the ward immediately took to the little girl, giving her the name. Lilly spent her brief life wandering the halls, where some say she died of pneumonia, others of neglect. Today, many believe that a childlike spirit still roams throughout the room where she resided during her time at the institution, many years ago. Guests and tourists continue to leave behind toys and items in her memory. Below is a photo I had taken inside her room/ward.

Back home from a fantastic, almost 10-hour overnight investigation at the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. From hearing footsteps, unexplainable sounds, a few solid EVPs, and learning so much more of the history than I knew before…it’s a location that I absolutely plan to return to. Here is a collection of photos taken between all ward floors, hallways, the lobotomy, and more. I also have daytime and night shots of the outside, but will share those in a separate post following. Packed up and in route to Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum for an overnighter. Beautiful day for the drive over. Although missing the crew back home, I’m so excited for this location. Will share trip updates throughout. See you soon, Middletown Paranormal and Southern Fauquier Paranormal.
