2026 Cullom Junior Fair Updates (sharing this post is appreciated)

Things are gearing up for the 2026 Cullom Junior Fair, and we hope you will join us August 5–8!

Please take note of the following important and exciting changes for this year's fair:

Entry Deadlines
To help us plan for the new park configuration, entry deadlines are one week earlier than usual.

Mailed entries must be postmarked by Monday, July 20.
Online entries will close at midnight on Sunday, July 26.

Official Fair Books
Official fair books (printed with the color cover) may be pre-ordered for $35 each.
Pre-orders must be placed by Friday, July 10.
To order, contact Diana Loschen at 815-383-8259 or [email protected].
Complimentary fair books will continue to be provided to those pictured on the cover.

Livestock Entries
We have eliminated separate pen and stall fees on livestock entries. Entry fees are now an all-inclusive fee covering both the entry and pen/stall costs.

Rabbit Department
We are excited to introduce a new Rabbit Costume Class!
Both the rabbit and exhibitor should dress in costume.
Additional prize money for this class has been generously provided by the Riebe Family.
Watch for additional details as the fair approaches.

Additional rabbit department updates include:
The Holland Lop breed has been added.
The Dutch breed division has been eliminated.

Flowers and Agricultural Products
Please join us in welcoming our new Floriculture Department leadership:
Superintendent: Nancy Hirstein Smith
Assistant Superintendent: Mike Gernentz

This year's themed arrangement class theme is "Golden Hour."

New classes include:
Tallest Stalk of Corn
Tallest Sunflower
Largest Sunflower Head

In the Garden Vegetables Division, classes have been added for:
Green Beans
Wax Beans
Domestic Arts

Both the Junior and Adult Domestic Arts Departments will feature new Rock Painting classes.

Food entry reminders:
All food exhibits must include either the recipe or a complete list of ingredients.

Lego exhibit reminder:
Lego displays may be no larger than 2 feet × 2 feet.
Instructions must accompany the exhibit unless it is entered in the Freestyle Division.

The fairbook and entry system will be available soon. Check back to access them and make your entries.

We look forward to another great year at the Cullom Junior Fair and can't wait to see everyone August 5–8!
