Proverbs 14:29-30 (NIV) emphasizes the benefits of emotional control and inner peace: "Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones".

Proverbs 14:29-30 (NLT):29 People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness.30 A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.

Folly/Foolishness - Not merely a lack of intelligence, but a moral spiritual deficiency - a deliberate choice to ignore God's wisdom, truth, and righteousness.

Seek God's guidance in controlling your emotions, don't let your emotions become reckless. If you allow your emotions to get in the way of God, they become sin.

Man looks at the outside of a person, but God, He looks at the inside of the person. So, if God has called you to something, please don't let man discourage you. Choose to follow after God and His calling on your life.

What will you give to the Lord for all that He has done for you?

Psalm 116 - ESV
8 For you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling;
9 I will walk before the Lord
in the land of the living.

10 I believed, even when[a] I spoke:
“I am greatly afflicted”;
11 I said in my alarm,
“All mankind are liars.”

Psalm 1:1 (KJV) states: "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful."

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God has highlighted this scripture to me the last few days. He said my people are chasing after "all these things" and not my kingdom and righteousness. We are trying to obtain the things He wants to provide, but we are trying to do it in our own might and that is never what he wanted for his children.

So today, lets turn things around and get our lives back in God's order.
