Cuero Regional Hospital announces that all hospital systems, including the electronic medical record (EMR), have been fully restored and are operating normally. Update for our community:

The investigation into the network of our system has been completed, and we are happy to share that all systems are clear. Returning the electronic medical record (EMR) to our system will take some time, however the best news is our information is safe!

✔️ No data breach
✔️ No malicious activity
✔️ No unauthorized access

The EMR has been confirmed safe and is being brought back onto our network. This proactive review was done to protect patient information, and patient care continued safely throughout.

Thank you for your patience, trust, and support of our staff as we worked through this process.

We want to keep our community informed.

Our hospital’s Information Technology Department identified anomalies within our network. Out of an abundance of caution, the electronic medical record (EMR) was shut down for the clinics and hospital setting, removed from the network, and an investigation was immediately initiated.

✔️ Patient care has NOT been affected
✔️ Downtime protocols are in place
✔️ Records, test results, and emergency charting continue safely

This proactive step was taken to protect information within our organization. At this time, there is no additional information to share. An update will be provided as available.
