Contactless curbside pickup procedures, allowing patrons to get books and DVDs without entering the library, are tentatively set to begin June 15. Patrons may place a hold on the items they wish to borrow by calling us at (585)968-1668 or emailing the library at [email protected]. We will let patrons know when placing holds via StarCat becomes available again. Staff members will be happy to recommend or select books for those who aren’t sure what they want to read.
Once items have been pulled, staff will contact patrons to arrange a date and time for patrons to pick up their items. Patrons will drive up to a designated parking space outside the library, stay in the vehicle, and call to let staff know they have arrived. A library staff member will verify the last four digits of the patron’s library card, then place the order on a table outside the front door. Once the staff member has gone back into the library, the patron may exit their vehicle and pick up the items from the table.
