Effective July 1, 2026, Allegany County will implement approved changes to certain waste material collection and disposal fees. These fees apply to all that use the Allegany County Transfer stations, even those that hold a Residential Hang Tag.

EDIT: Those currently holding a Residential Hang Tag can still use the tire punches allocated to the tag. Any tires above the quantity allowed (after 7/1/26) will be at the new rate.

We still have a few spaces available in our summer story hours. Preschool Storytime for ages 2 - 4 yrs. will take place starting next week on Tuesdays, June 30 - August 4 at 10:00 a.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult. K - 2 storytime will take place on Thursdays, July 2 - August 6 at 10:00 a.m. and Storytime for children entering grades 3 - 6 will take place on Tuesdays, June 30 - August 4 at 2 pm. Space is limited and registration is required so please stop in, email [email protected] or call (585) 968-1668 to sign up. Join Miss Cherilyn for storytimes; we will read a few stories, sing a few songs, and do some fun dinosaur, garden, and construction themed crafts.
