Just some scouts enjoying the nice weather 😎

Cuba Troop along with the Crawford and Franklin County Troops gathered this weekend to have a massive camporee in Marthasville this weekend. Dispite having no rain, the dew was heavy in the mornings. Boys walked miles, they even caried canoes in a race. Meals where cooked and cleaned by our own scouts.

We plan on having many more of these outings. Each one makes these kids grow and provides challanges for both our kids and leaders always learning. Pull up a chair and join us around the campfire.

Our scouts placed pinwheels outside of the "friends helping friends" building with the Cuba CASA. These pinwheels are blue for child abuse prevention. We are honored to be a part of this as we continue to watch our scouts grow and develop into men. As leaders we are role models. We do our best to provide a safe space for these kids at every meeting, event, and campout. Our leaders are also parents, parents working together to do the best they can for each of these kids. Every one of our leaders goes through a yearly program called "Safeguarding Youth Training" that includes bullying, harassment, addressing conflict, physical subjects, and even deeper points that cover awareness and actions. Thank you Cuba CASA for letting us be a part of this.

Our scouts just had their Pinewood Derby Sunday. Thank you Holy Cross Church for allowing us to use the hall for our races. Cars zoomed down the track, trying to set new records. Prizes were won. Our top five racers will be going to the district races in two weeks! Thank you to all the parents that help these kids make these cars that start out as a block of wood so we could have this race. Until next year...

The blue bags will be out starting this weekend! Fill them up with non-perishable foods and leave them on your porch on November 22nd to be collected. 🙏🥫

Cuba scouts have been busy placing flags around town for Veterans Day! We helped place flags in Kinder Cemetery and along HWY 19 and 66.

We would like to announce our flag retirement box, located at 305 S Bond St, Cuba, MO 65453, at American Legion Post 522. Anytime a flag becomes tattered, torn, or worn, you can deliver it here for proper retirement. Simply open the slot, and we will take care of the rest. Retirement ceremonies are open to the public. This was made possible by an Eagle Scout who took the lead and made this available for the community.

Shooting sports from S-F Scout Ranch over the summer with our scouts. Including archery and .22 rifles. Other opportunities include break action shotguns and cowboy action pistols.
