It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Life House Youth Center in Cuba, effective June 19th.

For the past four years, LHYC has worked tirelessly to provide a safe place for youth to gather, receive meals, build relationships, learn life skills, and find support when they needed it most. We have poured our hearts into serving the young people of our community and have continually sought the support needed to sustain this mission.

Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we have not received the ongoing financial and community support necessary to continue operating. This decision was not made lightly and comes with great sadness.

We want to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the faithful supporters, donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community members who stood beside us throughout these four years. Your generosity, encouragement, and commitment made it possible for us to serve hundreds of youth, provide meals, meet essential needs, and create a safe place where young people knew they were valued and loved. Quite simply, LHYC would not have existed these past four years without you, and we are forever grateful.

We are also incredibly thankful for every mentor and community partner who believed in our mission and invested in the lives of local youth.

To the youth of Cuba: thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We will miss your smiles, your laughter, your stories, and the opportunity to watch you grow into incredible young adults. You have been the heart of our mission from the very beginning.

Our final day of operation will be June 19th.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we will always cherish the memories, relationships, and impact that were made through Life House Youth Center. Thank you for being part of our story.

In honor of Memorial Day, we will be closed on Monday, May 25th as we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️💙
