Thank you to everyone who volunteered, sponorsored, donated, and attended this event. We couldn’t have done it without you! We have one last favor. We are short some funds to pay our final expenses so we are selling shirts. We have a few volunteer shirts (orange/short sleeve) for sale and the Crystal Springs Chamber of Commerce gave us some leftover shirts from the 2024 (yellow/shirt sleeve) and 2025 (purple/short sleeve) Tomato Festivals to sell, as well as some regular Crystal Springs shirts (blue/long and short sleeve). We also have some Copiah Bicentennial shirts (smoky blue/short sleeve) that we can’t sell but if you purchase one of the other shirts, I’ll be glad to throw it in as a bonus, if you let me know you want one. All shirts are $10. We accept Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, and check. Checks must arrive within 5 days. Checks must be made out to The Wall That Heals CS. Pick up is City Hall, M-F, 1:00-4:00 pm. They are not collecting money and cannot answer any questions. City Hall is merely a pick up point. If you need shirts sent to you, it will be a minimum $5 charge for postage & handling. There will be a brief closing ceremony at 1:45 today for The Wall That Heals. We hope you will join us. This is the last day to experience this event that honors the 58,281 service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice. They are forever etched into this Wall. They are more than names - they are husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, comrads, and friends. Most of all, they are heroes - heroes who left behind fellow heroes who are still bearing the weight of their loss. Some will never heal but this Wall has started that process for many and has brought a community together and shown how grateful we are for all those who serve and have served. Agent Orange didn’t just affect soldiers during the war—it changed lives for decades afterward. Many veterans still battle illnesses tied to exposure, and events like the ceremony honor their sacrifice, raise awareness, and support those who continue to carry the weight of that history.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make this evening meaningful.
