A New Year of Leadership Begins at CCBA

We had a great afternoon last week at CCBA's August GMM Luncheon!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of connection, important industry conversation, and the annual election of our CCBA leadership. We were also grateful to hear from Eric Landon, Director of Growth & Development for Citrus County, who shared valuable insight into the future of growth in Citrus County, what is ahead for Growth Management, and how our local building industry can remain engaged in supporting responsible growth.

🏗️ Help Shape the Future of Building in Citrus County

Citrus County is currently seeking a qualified contractor to serve as a regular member of the Code Review and Appeals Board (CRAB), and we strongly encourage our CCBA builders and contractors to consider applying!

This is an important opportunity to bring real world building experience and an industry perspective to decisions that directly affect construction in Citrus County.

What does the Code Review and Appeals Board do?

🔹 Reviews locally proposed amendments to building standards and regulations
🔹 Makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners
🔹 Hears appeals of code interpretations
🔹 Makes decisions on variations and modifications of technical codes and standards

And the time commitment? The board typically meets only twice a year.

Eligible members include individuals with knowledge and experience in technical codes, including contractors and design professionals.

As Citrus County continues to grow, having experienced local construction professionals involved in these conversations is incredibly important to helping ensure that growth remains responsible and sustainable.
