The Raue Center’s 6x6 PROJECT 2026 is officially back, and this year we are celebrating our 8th Anniversary with a special addition of 8x8 art pieces! Yes, you heard that right! We have eight original works of art created on 8" x 8" canvases by eight wonderfully talented artists.

These "special" pieces of art will be available to bid on starting June 13. Starting bids for all of the 8x8 art is $80.

Here's two of the pieces donated.

Running Free Medium: Oil

At the heart of my artistic vision lies the desire to establish a profound connection between the viewer and the animal subject. Running Free, set against the backdrop of the Arizona's Salt River area, captures the essence of freedom as the horse revels in the morning light.

Have we humans sacrificed too much of our natural habitat for the sake of human existence without considering the broader ecological implications? My art will always aim to prompt the viewer to ponder this question.

Cypress Creek Medium: Oil

My version of Bob Ross' painting, Cypress Creek, from season 29 episode 7 of The Joy of Painting. I really like how the orange pops on this one - a color you might not typically think of when you envision a swampy section of Florida. The water is deliciously brown.
