On August 8th Mission Save a Smile will hold our annual fundraiser - and it’s a virtual event this year. You can watch us live on YouTube where we’ll share more information about our recent work in Panama as well as our plans for next year. We will also be smoking pork shoulders and taking reservations for curbside pickup of pulled pork sandwiches. Please send in your request by August 6 for curbside pickup on August 8. Donations to benefit Mission Save a Smile’s work are gratefully accepted in person during curbside pickup, or anytime online or by mail.

We have just returned from a great couple weeks in Panama! The goal of this trip was to test equipment that we haven’t used since 2019 and to build a new storage facility on Achutupu. The equipment and supplies are now clean, dry and securely stored in the new ISOBOX container, ready for use in March 2022! The ISOBOX is the first step in our efforts to build a dental and eye clinic on Achutupu, in collaboration with the Achutupu community.

March 2019 marked the 10th year of Mission Save a Smile’s work in Achutupu, Panama. In 2009 dental care was provided for 450 school children. The school has grown and this year our team of 20 volunteers provided care for over 700 children.
