The backcountry trails remain open for visitors.

Last week Saturday, Crystal Cove Conservancy held our 27th Annual Endless Summer Soirée, and we couldn't be more proud of the community who came together to share the evening with us.

Together, we raised $950,000 in support of Crystal Cove Conservancy’s education, conservation, and preservation work. 🎉 Thank you to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for making our efforts possible.

- Creating hands-on STEM opportunities for students from under-resourced schools.

⚠️ Important Notice | Crystal Cove Beach Cottage Reservations

Due to unusually high tides and strong surf impacting beach access, the North and South Beach Cottages at Crystal Cove State Park are temporarily closed as a precautionary measure to prioritize guest safety.

Bluff Cottages and Cottage 24 will remain open until further notice.
If you have an upcoming cottage reservation between now and Tuesday, October 13, please check your email for an important notification from ReserveCalifornia.

Affected reservations are being canceled or modified, with full or partial refunds issued accordingly. Ocean conditions are being closely monitored, and the closures will be reassessed on Tuesday, October 13. Additional updates will be provided following that assessment.

For reservation assistance:

- Check your email for a notification from ReserveCalifornia, including your spam or junk folder.

- Contact the ReserveCalifornia Customer Contact Center at 1-800-444-7275 for questions about your reservation, cancellations, or refunds.

- If your reservation has been shortened and you would prefer to cancel the entire stay, contact ReserveCalifornia and reference your notification to request a full refund.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as Crystal Cove Conservancy works closely with California State Parks to prioritize guest safety and protect the Historic District.

🌊 Ocean Conditions Update | Crystal Cove State Park

Crystal Cove Conservancy is working closely with California State Parks Crystal Cove State Park to prioritize the safety of our visitors and the preservation of the Historic District as unusually high tides and elevated surf continue to affect the coastline.

The combination of high tides, elevated sea levels, and large ocean swells has resulted in some infrastructure damage within the Historic District. At this time, no historic cottages have sustained damage. However, ocean conditions remain hazardous, and additional impacts are possible over the coming days.

As a precautionary safety measure, cottage stays on both North Beach and South Beach have been impacted. Bluff cottage reservations remain unaffected at this time.
The National Weather Service’s Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through Tuesday, October 13, at 2 p.m., with additional elevated surf possible in the coming days.
We encourage all visitors to exercise caution, remain aware of changing coastal conditions, and follow all posted signs and guidance from California State Parks personnel and lifeguards.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working alongside our State Parks partners to protect this treasured coastal landscape and its historic resources.

⚠️ National Weather Service Update

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM PDT
TUESDAY.....BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Beach Hazards Statement, surf of 3 to 5 feet with
sets to 6 feet and dangerous rip currents expected. For the
Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding expected during
high tides.

* WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County
Coastal Areas.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM PDT Tuesday.
For the Beach Hazards Statement, through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of beach parking lots, boardwalks, and
roads with only isolated road closures expected. Minor coastal
erosion is also expected. Additionally, elevated surf will
lead to strong rip currents and dangerous swimming conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides are expected to peak between
6.5 and 7.0 feet during the mornings and evenings. Additional
south swells may produce another round of elevated to high
surf Sunday through Tuesday, highest on Sunday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
