Giving Something Back To The Community A community organization for charitable purposes; to promote health and wellness. Purpose - GSBTTC is organized exclusively for charitable purposes.

Mission - a group of volunteers dedicated to assisting in alleviating the disadvantage and/or misfortune people may encounter from time to time in Jefferson County. Vision - we as an organization, will improve the health and wellness of the residents of Jefferson County by alleviating a portion of the financial stress associated with maintaining day to day necessities and by the promotion of commu

nity togetherness, growth, and revitalization. The purpose is to promote health and wellness by providing assistance to those needing help paying for utilities, food to feed their family, prescriptions filled, etc.: and to promote community unity and revitalization.

At Giving Something Back to the Community, we believe that sometimes a little help can make a BIG difference. Our volunteers are dedicated to helping alleviate some of the disadvantages and hardships people in Jefferson County may face.

That can mean helping someone with:

🍎 Food for their family
💡 Utility expenses
💊 Prescription needs
🤝 Other essential day-to-day necessities

GSBTTC’s Annual Co****le Tournament is coming up on:

Grab your partner, sharpen your toss and get ready for a day of co****le, competition, fun and community!

But this tournament is about more than just throwing bags.

Every event helps Giving Something Back to the Community continue its mission of helping Jefferson County residents facing financial hardships with everyday necessities such as food, utilities and prescriptions.

BEAT THE HEAT WITH A LITTLE HISTORY TOMORROW NIGHT!
It’s going to be HOT outside tomorrow, so come spend the evening somewhere cool, in more ways than one! The Museum of Unity and Hope is wrapping up its 2026 Summer Speaker Series tomorrow night with historian Tim Krysl.

IMPORTANT LOCATION CHANGE:We’re moving from the auditorium to the Crystal City High School LIBRARY.

Join us Wednesday, August 12, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. for the FINAL program of the summer. If you’ve been meaning to come to one of our Speaker Series events, this is your last chance this summer. Escape the heat, bring a friend, settle into the air conditioning, and spend the evening discovering some of the fascinating, surprising, and sometimes downright strange stories that shaped American history.

No homework. No test. Just a great storyteller, great conversation, and a very cool place to spend a very hot August evening.
