Well that’s a wrap folks!

On behalf of all the tribal fairs, we thank you for a successful tribal fair season. Appreciate the blessings that are placed on your path for they are given by our holy people. This includes moments to make memories, money, and mutton! Good job our ké’ fairs Northern, Western, Central, Ceremonial, Alamo, Tojajillee, Ramah, Navajo Nation, Southern, and all our neighbors. Yéego Navajo and stay hozho!

A cousin found this and shared this old Gallup Independent article. Let’s not forget our fair’s slogan, “starts from the east”. This was established in reference to our day, prayers, blessings, beauty, and even our sister organization, Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial Association.

So as a reminder for all Eastern Navajo, take pride in this place we call home, we are blessed to be the first to greet the sun and moon, we are history makers, and originators of great things. It starts from the East for a reason.
