NWI No Child Hungry

NWI No Child Hungry We are a 501(c)3 providing weekend meals, called Buddy Bags, to nearly 1000 local students who are food insecure in Lake & Porter County, IN.

Food-insecurity is an issue in Porter and Lake Counties in Indiana. Many times, the food provided at school is the primary meal for students who are food insecure. Buddy Bags help push off hunger for these students on the weekends when they're not in school. Buddy Bags contain breakfast, lunch, dinner, sweet snack and a salty snack for Saturday and Sunday. We also provide additional items when stu

dents have long weekends or holiday breaks. We deliver Buddy Bags to our designated schools weekly during the school year. Our program is anonymous--we get numbers, not names--out of respect for students' privacy.
