At only 19, Tala was already completely on her own. As her bills mounted, she made the difficult decision to drop out of school. That’s when a friend online approached her with a solution—to sell herself to make ends meet.

We’ve seen it thousands of times before: having no other choice is often the first step toward exploitation.

Tala was not the only one in this desperate situation. Another two young women were recruited, and one admitted she felt pressured by debts she was desperate to repay. And shockingly, two other victims recruited were only 12 and 15 years old.

But one day last year, while Tala and the other victims were at a hotel, everything changed. They crossed paths with men who were not there to abuse them, but were undercover to bring help.

Destiny Rescue worked with officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) to conduct surveillance, and provide transportation and manpower to carry out the arrests and entrust the survivors to the care of social workers who helped find them placement in shelters to heal from the trauma they endured.

Tala and the four other victims were given the choice of a brighter future. Will you do the same for another victim?

RESCUE UPDATE: Rescue agents helped law enforcement on three separate cases to rescue 37 human trafficking victims in the Philippines.

Most of the victims had been under the control of human traffickers who advertised them in an online catalog for s*x tourists. The other two cases involved the online exploitation of children, mostly boys.

Thanks to our agents' collaboration with law enforcement, two traffickers were arrested. The adult survivors returned home to recover with their families, while most of the children were entrusted to government shelters where they will receive extensive post-trauma treatment from licensed caseworkers.

Her turbulent home life forced Faraja to fend for herself financially, and she found plenty of men willing to take advantage of that vulnerability.

The 18-year-old Kenyan is strong and motivated, driven to succeed not just for her own sake, but for others, including the baby she had at just 15 years old.

Even after her mother took in Faraja’s baby, the girl had to continue to sell her body, both online and in person, to make ends meet.

Eventually, Faraja reached a breaking point. On one occasion, a group of men s*xually assaulted Faraja so brutally that she was surprised she lived through the attack.

“I… tried several times to commit suicide,” Faraja said. “But I (would wake up and) find myself in hospital.”

The exploitation continued for years. Faraja began to take drugs so that she could endure the horrific abuse. There seemed to be no hope, no way out. “I would be praying and not getting answers; asking people for help, and no one was willing to help,” Faraja explained. Then, at 17, she became pregnant again. Afraid and alone, she attempted an abortion, but the procedure failed.

That’s when Faraja met a rescue agent.

Faraja bravely decided to accompany the agent to our local project in Kenya, where she discovered she was worth so much more. “I saw that my life has meaning and purpose,” Faraja said.

After joining our project, Faraja gave birth to her son, whom she credits with motivating her through recovery. “This child is the one giving me a reason to live,” Faraja said as she held her son. “I can't imagine going back to the life I used to live before.”

The courageous young mother is also learning valuable skills to help her live free: “Having skills has really helped me to be able to get some money… to buy food for my child and help my aunt in paying rent.”

These external changes reflect a more profound transformation in Faraja’s heart. “Through rescue I have found healing,” she said. “I have found emotional and physical healing... I continue finding healing, I am very motivated in life.”

Free from the crushing desperation that drove her before, Faraja is finally able to dream again. “I want to be someone meaningful in society,” she said. “I want to help other girls who are going through the challenges I went through.”

A man was arrested after selling videos of his wife and kids being s*xually abused.

It started back in 2024: A Destiny Rescue rescue agent and former detective, Caleb, acted fast after coming across a Filipino trafficker who was managing multiple social media groups where he was selling child s*xual abuse material (CSAM).

It only took a week for Caleb to learn the vile man was not just a reseller of CSAM: he was also peddling his entire family to be s*xually abused and recorded in exchange for money. His victims included his pregnant wife and multiple children, the youngest only 3 years old.

Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the trafficker went dark online and became nearly impossible to track. Six months later, Caleb saw that his account on the platform where they had connected had been reactivated. It didn’t take long at all for the twisted entrepreneur to begin offering his “product” to our undercover agent.

“He kept making offers to showcase their abuse online to me, but he also kept asking me to visit in person. He said another foreigner had already visited—and abused his entire family,” Caleb recalled.

To Caleb’s amusement, shortly after reengaging, the trafficker sent a photo of his driver’s license, hoping to convince Caleb he would be true to his word and send his “product” quickly.

Finally, in 2025, Caleb had what he needed to find the trafficker’s name and exact location and take the trafficker down. After sending evidence to the police, Caleb had to travel and appear in court to secure the search warrant.

The search warrant was quickly issued, and the National Bureau of Investigation raided the home, taking the survivors into the custody of caring social workers and arresting the abuser.

Throughout 2025, our agents, in collaboration with law enforcement, rescued 81 children in the Philippines from online s*xual exploitation (OSEC) and 16 perpetrators were arrested in connection with those cases.
