Stoked Mentoring STOKED aims to close the opportunity gap and diversify the action sports industry through participation, mentoring, and a career pipeline program.

STOKED's mission is to create a community of fearless leaders through mentoring, opportunity, and action. In addition to weekend trips to learn action sports, we provide after school programming for our youth to be mentored by their STOKED Coach and to learn how to build a skateboard from start to finish.

Meet our panelists for this Fridays event Paragon Sports NYC 🎤

“Yooo! My name is Kristyn Mastroianni and I am the founder of Shred Strong. I am a Strength Coach, Sports/Orthopedic Massage Therapist and Freestyle Coach for the MTS Snowboard Team in CT. I’ve been snowboarding and skating since the 90s. Nowadays you can find me on the mountain or in the skatepark with my 6 year old daughter, Shay, who has been ripping since she was a baby!

Watching snowboarders and skaters struggle to progress due to strength/mobility limitations, chronic pain and injury I started Shred Strong. Through training, rehabilitation and education I’m here to help skaters and snowboarders stay on their boards for as long as possible.

There are heavy stigmas in the snow/skate community about the gym and rehabbing injuries as being lame. I want to help shift that mindset to a place where taking care of your body to support riding and skating is cool. That the minimum effective dose is the way. You don’t need to live in the gym. And rehabbing injuries proper is what gets you back on your board feeling better than when you got knocked off of it.

I am so honored to be a part of this Stoked event. The work they do and how they support the community is a beautiful thing. Can’t wait to hang with everyone and nerd out on all things health and boards!”

“My name is Tayler Stendel, I am out of New Jersey and part of the WAM ( we’re all mental ) FAM Community.
We’re all mental is a mental health community focusing on friends supporting friend, - while advocating that talking about your feelings in a safe space can be freely accessible.
We’re all mental started in 2021 by founder Laura Rogoski. After being a part of the snowboarding community from the east- west, she found herself diving into the journey of becoming sober while navigating the sadness of su***de within the community. Through that her frustration around the struggles & cost for mental health help, got to her & We’re all mental was formed. Free Mental health help zines, online meet-ups, in person meet-ups/ pop-up event & many other things are the foundations of what WAM is.

As an avid snowboarder, surfer, yogi and all around nature lover, finding wonderful organizations within the community of snowboarding that are all inclusive, has come easy over the past few years. They range from camps encouraging women and non-binary folks of all levels to get confident in the park, to we’re all mental tal meet-up parkbuilds/ride days with a supportive group discussions to talk out our feelings. Each community created has helped me to meet like minded individuals that become lasting friendships.
I am honored to be a part of the STOKED event & can’t wait to see what the future holds for these types of communities.“
