25 for $20

Payment accepted in person (Fort Worth & Gilmer), via CashApp, Paypal or Chase App.

Contact Heather at 903-331-7228 or Clara at 903-348-8442 to purchase tickets.

Tickets are only available until Thursday, December 12th. We will hold a live drawing on Facebook that same evening to determine the winner!!!!

Things got off to a slow start this year but they have been picking up beautifully!!! Pam Engle Wilson has orchestrated a donation drive at her daughter’s middle school, our friend Nita has built 150 complete hygeine kits, Marianne Ziegler Robben and Clara Anne have been working diligently on scarves and the Unit Based Council at our job has donated several items. It’s looking like this year may be just as successful as the last two, which is exactly what we are hoping and praying for!

At this point, we are needing assistance in brainstorming ideas on what food we will provide. We are looking to serve 125 individuals. Shoot us a message with any ideas you may have!

Later this week, we will announce a date and time for an ugly Christmas sweater packing party which will be held at our home. We will need around 10 people - 15 people to come help pack backpacks. There will be food, drinks and great fellowship as well!

We will be accepting items until Monday, December 16. Currently, our greatest needs are fleece blankets ($2.50 at Walmart), Socks (white tubs style preferred) and HotHandz hand warmers. However, we will accept ANY items that we have previously listed.

As always, this isn’t possible without support from you! Please like both of our pages (Christmas on Lancaster, Compassion Packed), share our posts and invite your friends to like us!

There are only 63 days left until Christmas! That means there are only 63 days left to prepare for this year’s Christmas on Lancaster!!!

Charice Rene has purchased toothbrushes and toothpastes for Christmas on Lancaster and Pam Engle Wilson is currently working with her daughter’s middle school to organize a drive for us!

We are still in dire need of monetary donations and in need of the following items:

Socks (regular white tube socks)
Gloves (unisex)
Handwarmers
Travel size shampoo
Travel size conditioner
Travel size deodorant
Travel size body wash
Travel size hand sanitizer
Fleece blankets
Nonperishable, individually wrapped snacks

We will be hitting Lancaster on Christmas Day so that we can remain true to our event name and original vision, however a specific time has not been established. We are also still exploring options for meals as well and could use assistance and input on this. Please keep in mind that our goal is 150 care packages!!!!

As always, thank you for your support and please share!!!!

With only 84 days until Christmas, it is time to start getting busy for our 3rd annual Christmas on Lancaster event.
The last 2 years were so special! They turned out to be so much more than we ever could have dreamed of. Words cannot express how excited we are to do it again this year. As as added bonus, this will be the 1st event hosted by our official 501(c)3 nonprofit organization - Compassion Packed!!!
The past 2 years would not have been possible without the support of our families, friends and community. We hope our supporters from last year are on board for round 3 and that those of you who missed out will take the opportunity to join us in making this year’s Christmas on Lancaster another success. There are multiple ways to support us and be involved with this event. You can donate via our GoFundMe or you can donate items directly to us. We will also need people to join us on Christmas Day to help serve food and pass out the backpacks to the homeless. If you’re into crocheting or knitting, we love to include a handmade scarf and hat with each backpack!!! Our goal is 150 full backpacks!
For those not familiar with Lancaster Ave, it is street in Fort Worth that has a stretch of pavement on the East portion that is lined with homeless shelters, cheap motels, rundown businesses and an alarmingly abundant number of homeless residents. A daytime drive down Lancaster is was a very depressing and sullen experience. A nighttime drive down this street is absolutely heartbreaking. The sidewalks are lined with what seems to be dozens of sleeping people who are covered in tattered blankets and dirty clothes. There are even a handful of shabby tents set up sometimes too. Last year, God put it on Clara and I’s hearts to reach out to these folks during the Christmas season. Despite the stigma and stereotypes associated with the homeless population, each of these people are someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, etc. Every single one of these people were created by the same big man upstairs that created me and you. They each deserve love, compassion, mercy and kindness. So this Christmas, we are excited to hit Lancaster for the third consecutive year with friends, a warm meal (warm burgers/burritos/pizzas; depending on what is open) and bags full of items to help make these people’s lives easier and to hopefully put a smile on their face and a little joy in their hearts. We want to give everyone the opportunity to become involved in this, which was a huge success last year and has the potential to be even bigger and better this Christmas! Please make sure to like our new page “Compassion Packed”. For more information on our past events, visit the “Christmas on Lancaster” page.
Items that we want to include with each drawstring backpack are as follow:
—Socks, preferably white tube socks (Research has shown that this is one of the tops items requested by homeless people)
--Scarves
--Beanies/Gloves (winter nights can be cruel and cold)
--Reusable drink containers with loops, carabiners, handles (so they can always have something to carry water in)
--Tampons/pads (ladies, can you imagine life without either of these? EXACTLY)
--NONPERISHABLE, single serve food and snack items. Lighter the weight, the better. Things like tuna packets, crackers, jerky, nuts, dried fruits, granola and cereal bars, MREs, etc.)
--Blankets
--Hand/foot warmers
--Chapstick/Carmex/Vaseline
--Travel sized hygeine items (2in1 shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, combs)
--Small first aid kits
--Wet wipes
We are not accepting any clothes or used items this year, however there are many other charities that will! Also, if anyone has any ideas on how to raise funds for this project or make it better in anyway, please contact us!!!!
