Mission:
Freed People locates and recovers children who are being sold for s*x by building and equipping recovery teams with tools that enhance their efforts to locate missing s*x-trafficked children. Freed People’s primary focus is to create, build and fund a network of recovery teams across the United States. We equip these teams with everything they need to recover people who are being s*x tra

fficked. These tools include advanced technology, subject matter expertise, training, peer support programs and funding to keep their operation ongoing.

2. Secondly, we are building a network of tiny safe homes that mirror our recovery areas. The home is where this happens.

3. Finally, we educate and bring awareness to the public on identifying human s*x trafficking. We speak with students, counselors, nurses, doctors, foster parents, staff who work with at risk youth, minors in juvenile detention, staff for juvenile detention centers, law enforcement, churches, rotary clubs, and other organizations. Operation Safe Streets!

Prostitution, human trafficking, and s*xual exploitation are not tolerated in the City of Dallas. As part of Operation Safe Streets, our detectives continue to pursue leads and investigate the networks that endanger victims and further the cycle of abuse. During a targeted operation last week, investigators assigned to the Place Network Investigations and Human Trafficking Units, along with officers from Northwest Patrol, arrested eight offenders who were attempting to pay for s*x.
By disrupting the channels used to make these purchases, law enforcement can intervene and rescue victims of exploitation and prevent further abuses. The offenders arrested in this operation are charged with state jail felonies related to prostitution.
The Dallas Police Department remains committed to this important work every day, in every neighborhood we serve.

Sometimes justice starts in very simple ways.

A mother reached out to us after her daughter was targeted through s*xtortion online. In her community in rural Texas, there wasn’t a clear path forward. Local law enforcement hadn’t dealt with a case like this before, and she was trying to figure out where to turn.

We were able to help connect her with the right people at Texas DPS CID, and from there the case quickly expanded. What investigators uncovered was far bigger than anyone initially realized. Ultimately, they were able to identify a Canadian national connected to over 100 victims all over the country. The case was elevated to federal jurisdiction and has now resulted in a conviction in the United States, with sentencing approaching.

Right now, the prosecution is preparing for victim impact statements, and some of the most important voices in this case are young people who were directly affected but haven’t yet had the opportunity to be heard in court because their families can't afford the flights and travel.

We’re working to help ensure that not only will they get there but their voices are able to be heard. Their voices must be heard.

A Canadian national pleaded guilty today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia after admitting he s*xually exploited over 100 children by creating an online persona and targeting them on social media.
