As our county fair comes to an end, we want to leave our community with an important reminder: relationships should always be fair.

Healthy relationships are built with respect, consent, independence, boundaries, choice, and trust. Each person has the right to feel safe, maintain their boundaries, make their own decisions, and have their voice respected.

Abuse does not have to become physical to be real. Control, coercion, intimidation, isolation, stalking, financial abuse, and digital monitoring can also cause harm.

If something in your relationship does not feel safe or fair, your concerns are valid. You do not have to wait for the situation to become worse before reaching out.
