First responders often spend as much time at their stations as they do at home.
And a lot of those stations are not built for the kind of rest these men and women actually need. Outdated furniture. Poor sleeping conditions. In some cases bed bugs and living quarters that would not be acceptable anywhere else.
The Corban Scott Goad Memorial Foundation is doing something about that through the Sleep Strong program. We provide first responders with proper beds, clean living quarters, and the kind of rest environment that lets them actually recover between calls.
Hometown Heroes deserve better than what most of them are sleeping on right now.
